Shipping + Refund Policies
No refunds are provided unless the product is defective. If you are located in Calgary and can easily return an item to our store location, you can return some items (to be confirmed on a case by case basis) although there is a 25% restocking charge if the items are not defective and have not been opened. Anything opened cannot be returned. Email becky@bleedingartindustries with information and a photo in order for us to determine your refund status.
*Please note that you are solely responsible for determining how a product is to be used and to do any research required on how to use a product in executing a special effect or make-up effect. Bleeding Art Industries is not responsible for, nor will accept a returned product, should you discover after ordering a product that it was not what you needed.
Note: as of November 17, we noticed that some of the shipping quotes provided by Shopify have been inaccurate. Additional shipping charges may apply should there be a significant difference between what shows on the Shopify store versus us checking manually. If you put an order in and this is the case, we will notify you as soon as possible in the event that you would like a refund instead of paying the difference. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We are FAST at shipping. Your order goes out within 24 hours of placing it. We can ship almost anywhere in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
Please note that many couriers and Canada Post are not guaranteeing delivery times right now even if you have paid for a faster service. If we are able to substitute a shipping option that is around the same price as what you have booked but we have found to be more reliable, we will book with that shipper and advise you of such. However, once an item has shipped, delivery times are out of our hands.
When you place an order, either Shopify or we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page. We are only given the option of Canada Post for U.S. and international shipping on Shopify but we can quote you FedEx and other carriers separate from your online order. Just email us if you would like us to do that.
Duties/taxes are payable by the customer to the shipping company when the product is delivered. These are separate from the shipping fee you pay when you buy the product. Because different courier companies charge different amounts for duties/taxes depending on the product being sent across the border, we are unable to estimate what these charges may be in advance. Unfortunately, this is a cost that is incurred in order for items to be shipped across a country's border regardless of NAFTA or any other arrangement between countries.
Items that cannot freeze (ie. Pros-Aide, Latex) will either not be shipped during winter months, or additional shipping costs will be incurred to have the items flown instead of shipped via ground transport.
Dangerous Goods shipments (ie. including aerosol cans that may ship as consumer commodity) may require additional charges. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your particular order.
