Warm up gently in a microwave-safe dish or in a container in warm water. Allow the gelatin to melt slowly, stirring periodically. Do not let the gelatin boil as it can become extremely hot and cause burns to skin. The container should be warm but not scalding when ready. Setting times can be shortened by placing the mold/s in the freezer, your prosthetic can appear as natural as possible by blending the edges away with witch hazel, it is quite translucent and moves easily on an actor, and lastly, all ingredients are food grade, so safe to use. It will automatically adhere to skin if the surface is clean. 70% rubbing alcohol applied to the skin beforehand will remove any surface oils that may prevent gelatin from sticking. We keep our gelatin in the fridge to extend its shelf life.
